Muslims born in America? Egad! Please remind me why it’s cool if Catholic nuns wear scarves and when Christian women choose to cover their hair that’s just fine and dandy.  Women choose to wear hijab for their own reasons, and HOLY SHIT there are Muslim women who don’t wear hijab. It has nothing to do with you. If your/our country is so fucking liberated, doesn’t that mean that women have the right to choose their own style of dress? What’s abusive is telling women they are oppressed when so many Muslimahs feel freed by their hijab or their burqa. CarlyYou are amazing. the end.
